Chaos & War
An original abstract painting from the Theory of Chaos series - organic loose marks created in the lower layers applying paint, placing a sheet over and using a rolling pin to spread the paint. Parts of the lower layers are preserved and other parts have new layers added in stripes - acrylic ink drizzled in the final layer - aiming for loose, unpredictable marks. Chaos in the form of the Coronavirus pandemic, Brexit and 5 changes of Prime Minister in the UK, and now war waged by Russia in Ukraine have made this the most unsettling decade I’ve experienced so far.
